Welcome to the Applied Physical Electronics, L.C. (APELC) website. Since 1998, we have focused on the research and development of compact geometry Marx generators. Our novel designs have produced output pulses with ultrafast rise times, moderate pulse widths, and amplitudes ranging from tens of kV to several MV. More recently, APELC has begun development of Marx generator-based systems to support RF test and evaluation efforts, as well as electronic defeat applications such as vehicle stoppers and the mitigation of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) controlled by portable wireless devices. These efforts include the development of high voltage antennas and other custom loads. APELC has also expanded into the power electronics arena with the design of high voltage pulse/trigger generators and solid-state Marx generators. APELC also provides design and fabrication services for custom components and/or systems.

New Product Announcements

APELC proudly introduces a new solution for RS-105 testing as defined by MIL-STD 461E/F. In addition to meeting all of the test requirements, it is extremely portable, rugged, and easy to operate. Its intuitive setup and operation were designed around feedback from engineers and technicians currently testing under RS-105.
"Setup time of 1 to 2 hours... Operational results in minutes!"

APELC is pleased to announce the release of a new ultra compact, high energy density Marx generator that has been designed for sourcing High Power Microwave loads. The generator is a fully integrated pulse power source, operating from batter power or an ac source.
This generator provides the highest energy density of any commercially available Marx generator.
